This African safari will take you to two of Zambia’s premier national parks: South Luangwa and the Lower Zambezi. The remote wilderness of South Luangwa combined with the water experience of the Lower Zambezi, will ensure a healthy dose of both adventure and wildlife. You will stay at exclusive luxury lodges that have been chosen for their personalised service, authentic safari experiences and prime wildlife locations, with high concentrations of game. You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to activities, hosted by professional guides that know the area intimately and are able to unearth interesting facts about nature, animal behaviour and culture.
The Luangwa Valley is vast, remote and a honey-pot of wildlife. It’s mix of lagoons, river thickets, grassland, ebony groves and woodlands support a huge variety of game, making game sightings that much more enjoyable. Some of the species to look out for include the endemic Thornicroft's Giraffe, herds of Cape Buffalo and elephant, not to mention predators like lion and leopard.
The meandering Zambezi River, in the Lower Zambezi National Park, is the focus of activities for the second half of your trip. The river, which flows all year round, is a draw card for game and birds, making game activities a delight for photographers and guests. With the magnificent Zambezi Escarpment providing the backdrop and the Mana Pools National Park across the river, there is bush as far as the eye can see.
